Rick has spent the last 20+ years giving back to his community. As former deputy mayor, current Chair of the North Bay-Parry Sound Health Unit Board, and a volunteer wherever he’s needed, Rick knows what the people of East Ferris need. As a retired member of the community, he has the capacity to be 100% dedicated to being mayor, not treating it as a part-time job. Rick will be there for you and your family, no matter the obstacle.

No Senior Left Behind
More than 20 units reserved for seniors’ housing, past the first stage of the ministry application.
Rick is currently involved in bringing 20 plus units strictly reserved for seniors’ housing. As chair of the steering committee, this project has passed the first stage of the application process to the ministry.
Seniors deserve quality housing and infrastructure. Rick is very proud of how this senior villa board has brought this project forward, while making sure all seniors have a place to go if they decide to downsize.
Expanding Healthcare to Limit Wait Times for East Ferris Residents
A fourth doctor at the East Ferris Medical Centre so residents have more access and shorter wait times.
Rick is proud to announce the expansion of the East Ferris Medical Centre Medical Team!
This team expansion includes bringing in a fourth doctor so local residents have more access to the care they deserve with less wait times.
Investing in the Community
Industrial development with East Ferris and neighbouring communities to stimulate the local economy.
Rick is currently working on further industrial development opportunities with East Ferris and neighboring communities.
He plans to continue working with local stakeholders and residents of neighbouring communities to determine the best way to develop the land for industrial opportunities that will stimulate the local economy.

Rick’s work with Ontario Good Roads and Public Works is about keeping East Ferris moving: maintain what we have, plan ahead, and spend carefully on the roads residents use every day.

As Chair of the North Bay - Parry Sound Health Unit Board, Rick focuses on health and community supports not only to those in East Ferris, but to 31 other municipalities as well.
